Vice President of Finance

Brief of the Role

We are seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead and scale AgVend’s financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for financial planning, strategy, and execution—ensuring that we allocate resources effectively to fuel sustainable growth. You will develop financial systems and processes that provide transparency, efficiency, and insight for leadership and investors. Additionally, you will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team (SLT), influencing cross-functional decisions that shape AgVend’s long-term success.

This position reports directly to the CEO.

While we feel strongly about periodically being in person together, AgVend is a distributed-first company headquartered in Austin, TX. We are looking for the best talent regardless of where you live.


Your Background

​You are a seasoned finance executive with a track record of building and scaling finance teams in high-growth environments. You excel at both strategic financial planning and day-to-day operational execution. You have a deep understanding of SaaS or technology-enabled businesses, with experience in fundraising, budgeting, and financial forecasting. You have successfully led finance teams through rapid growth, ensuring financial discipline without stifling innovation.

  • Strategic Financial Leadership

    • Build and oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to align with AgVend’s growth strategy.

    • Provide insights and recommendations on financial strategy, risk management, and capital allocation to the SLT and Board of Directors.

    • Optimize financial models to support pricing strategies, investment decisions, and resource allocation.

  • Operational Finance & Systems

    • Establish scalable financial operations, accounting systems, and reporting processes that drive efficiency and transparency.

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and investor reporting standards.

    • Develop cash flow management strategies to optimize working capital.

  • Investor & Stakeholder Management

    • Own investor relations, including board reporting and financial storytelling.

    • Serve as the key financial spokesperson, translating financial data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with Sales, Partner Success, and Product teams to align financial planning with company objectives.

    • Influence key company decisions, ensuring financial rigor without sacrificing growth opportunities.

  • Improve cross-departmental financial literacy, empowering teams with the knowledge to make sound financial decisions.
