AgVend-built Portals Now Include Support for Energy Business Units
Ag Retailers can now offer one digital experience to agronomy, grain, and energy customer
MINNEAPOLIS, March 10, 2022 – AgVend, the leading provider of digital engagement software to serve the producer of tomorrow, announced today the expansion of their platform to include the Energy Business Unit. This addition broadens AgVend’s offering for the modern ag retailer beyond agronomy and grain.
With the Energy Business Unit, ag retailers can provide all energy customers (agriculture, commercial, and residential) with centralized, on-demand, account management. Clients can pay invoices, submit budget billing payments, view deliveries, and eSign contracts from their retailer’s online site or mobile app 24/7.
For energy sales teams, they now have one place to access their client’s information, create contracts, share pricing, and more. This allows the retailer to speed up commitments and reduce pricing exposure in a dynamic market. In addition, automatic notifications for remaining units available and unsigned contracts streamlines the team’s daily workflow and reduces overhead.
“Our team spends a lot of time on the contract process,” explains Jean Bowen, Energy Business Lead at River Valley Cooperative. “The Portal simplifies the contract creation down to a few clicks. Add that with eSigning contracts and automatic reminders, we can offload time-consuming tasks, while making sure our customers get the service they need.”
The Energy Business Unit complements AgVend’s current grain and agronomy tooling which includes offer management, account payments, centralized agronomic plans and more. Bringing in these added capabilities not only provides customers one place to manage their business, but also maximizes cross-selling opportunities for sales teams across product categories.
“With the Portal, our customers have the tools they need to manage their entire operation, energy, and agronomy, from anywhere,” said Jeff Crissinger, VP of Agronomy Sales and Marketing at NuWay-K&H Cooperative. “This cuts down on calls to our office, saving customers valuable time. It also opens the door for our team to reach customers who currently only do energy business to start doing their agronomy with us and vice versa.”
This is the initial launch in an ongoing series of energy related releases that include tank management, usage, and monitor information scheduled for the coming months.
“Based on feedback from our Partner Retailers, the energy experience for both retailers and their customers will continue to improve with future iterations,” said Alex Miller, Product Manager, at AgVend. “By adding tank information, customers will be able to check deliveries, current levels, and request refills from the mobile app. While sales teams will get further visibility and data insights to capture more energy opportunities.”
In continuation with AgVend’s efforts to create one single customer experience across the ag retailer’s major business units, AgVend will add Feed to their platform later this year. AgVend remains committed to expanding connectivity with current and future technology providers whose shared goal is to provide efficiencies and improve the digital experience for ag retailers and their customers.
